Our application has been accepted, oh dear!

Sally and I saw an advert for a charity event in November 2007 which involved travelling 3,500k, off road, on a Yamaha motorbike around South Africa to aid the Rider for Health charity. The charity donates the motorbikes used and additional funds to help health workers in Africa reach the communities. For example, in Gambia the health transport system has been outsourced by the goverment to the charity.

We have previously travelled round India on motorbikes for a holiday(more of that later), and we have driven Harley's alongs the southern tip of South Africa, but have never 'off-roaded' before (at least not on purpose).

Now we have to think about fundraising, in the meantime here is a photo of the India trip;
